A Message from Coach Matt Thompson

Monday, March 16th and it was supposed to be the first home game for our 2020 season. Although many coaches like myself, players, family and friends were excited to kick off the season today, the onset of the Coronavirus stopped our season in its tracks.

Many of us, especially our senior ballplayers, were devastated by the halt of our season. The IHSA, MLB, NCAA and other sports organizations definitely made the right decision to suspend sports until further notice.

However, it is not in our nature to sit and do nothing.

LHS Baseball and Friends of Wildcat Baseball have decided to raise money to help those affected by the Coronavirus. 100% of the money that we raise will go to the needs of our local community.  After discussions with our mayor’s office, our food pantries are in great need of support during this difficult time.  We need your help to donate

In order to raise awareness of our fundraising efforts, we have decided to start the Home Game Challenge. Post pictures on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram of you and your loved ones playing a game at home, with the #HomeGameChallenge and tell people to visit fowbaseball.org to donate.

Thank you and Go Cats!
